Baked Macaroni with Broccoli and cheese

Ingredients – 
3/4 cup milk + 2 tsbp
1 cup grated cheese
1 1/2 cups boiled macaroni ( made of semolina/suji or wheat)
1/4 cup pureed tomato paste, which has been cooked with some basil and a pinch of salt
1 egg
Broccoli – chopped finely as much as you want( should be boiled and the stock should be kept for adding)
Chopped and sauteed onions
Seasoning – Garlic powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, thyme
Brown bread crumbs / Unsweetened cornflakes or wheatflakes
Preparation Method
 
Grease the bottom of a deep baking dish. Layer it with breadcrumbs or crushed wheat/cornflakes. Pre-bake the oven at 160 degrees celsius.

In a separate bowl, whisk well the egg and milk. Add the sauteed onions and seasoning.

Add the seasoning.
Add oregano

In a saucepan, add a tbsp of butter and saute the boiled broccoli lightly. Then add 2 tbsp of milk, some of the grated cheese and switch of the flame.

Add the boiled macaroni and mix well so that all the macaroni is coated well with the sauce. Add the tomato paste and stir well.

Add the grated cheese

Add to the egg-milk mixture. Pour into the prepared dish and sprinkle grated cheese generously.

Bake for 30 minutes. Slice and serve hot.
